Annual showcase features up and coming designers and creative agencies

Wingard Creative is honored to be featured in the second installment of What is Art? at The Cummer Museum of Art and Gardens on Tuesday, August 17th, from 6:30 to 8:30. The event will feature graphic design and motion graphics from local artists and designers, as well as music from Mike Boff and William Colledge.

“What is Art” is hosted by the Up & Cummers, a group of young professionals whose goal is to spread cultural awareness through the arts, gardens, and education available through the Cummer Museum.

There are some great designers and artists showing at the event: AACE Impact Graphics, Amber Aultman, Jason Farmand, Karen Kurycki, Locan Raspa, Varick Rosete, Studio Orange Design, Alex Willis and Felicia Wright.

We’re super excited about seeing more work from two of our friends: Karen Kurycki and Varick Rosete.

Karen, a Senior Art Director at BroadBased Communications, brings out the art of watercolor in her colorful and engaging pieces. Her work embraces the unpredictability of paint, balanced with the structure and control of typography.

Varick also brings art and design together in his bold and dynamic illustrations. While he’s done web and print design for a wide range of clients, lately his focus has been on creating original illustrative and motion graphic work. There’s no doubt he’s got some stellar pieces up his sleeve for this exhibit.

To get a glimpse at even more never-before-seen work, come join us in taking in some inspiration next Tuesday at The Cummer Museum’s “What is Art?” We’ll save a cocktail for you!
