Wingard Creative Nominated to Serve on AIGA and Salvation Army Boards

Wingard Creative practices what it preaches by serving on local boards

David Wingard and the Salvation Army

In an effort to become more involved in the community, David and I both joined local boards in the past month. David has teamed up with the The Salvation Army Northeast Florida Advisory Board. He brings over 10 years of marketing and design experience to the table and we look forward to helping serve those people in need throughout Northeast Florida.

While there are a few committees David might be asked to serve on, we’re both pulling for the finance committee. Sike! Seriously though, David will most likely start out on the marketing and public relations committee who develops ways of marketing the Salvation Army through media and print.

We also hope to contribute our skills to various design and print projects. Our newly launched Printing.com franchise in 5 Points is a perfect fit for helping the Salvation Army with is print needs. Printing.com offers standardized printing rates and cost savings via it’s streamlined business model, so we’re confident we can offer some relief when it comes to printing costs and estimating. Not to mention non-profits receive a 10% discount on most printing projects.

Joey Marchy and AIGA Jacksonville

Tonight I’ll be attending my first AIGA Jacksonville board meeting to present my newly developed communications plan. I’ve been tapped by the AIGA board to help with the following communications goals:

  • Make communications easier, streamlined, progressive and smart
  • Use digital media and traditional communications tools to advance AIGA Jacksonville
  • Increase reach of various social media platforms and more traditional channels like email

I’ll be joining Shane Santiago of SBS Studios as communications co-chair. This position is a perfect fit for me. Working in the design and digital media industry along with my personal work in the community via Urban Jacksonville positions me uniquely to fill this role.
